What Is The Skills First Program?
Skills First is a Victorian Government funding program that provides access to government-subsidised training for courses in growth industries such as the health sector. Skills First funding includes qualifications and some skill sets.
If you are eligible, your tuition fees will be lower or even free!
How to check your eligibility (Qualifications & Skills sets)
From 1st January 2023, you need to meet the below two (2) criterias to be eligible for a Skills First funding place:
1. Citizenship
To be eligible for Skills First training, you must be one of the following:
- an Australian citizen
- an Australian permanent resident, or
- a New Zealand citizen.

2. Course limits
In a calendar year, a student may only commence a maximum of two:
a) Skills First subsidised Skills Sets; and
b) Skills First subsidised programs, that are Australian Quality Framework (AQF) qualifications
Please note: The following scenarios are not counted when determining if a student meets these limits:
a) transitioning from a superseded course, to a current version of the same course
b) recommencing training in the same course (at same provider or different)
c) enrolling in an apprenticeship (not traineeship) after having participated in one of the programs identified as a “pre-apprenticeship and pathway program” on the funded programs report

COURSES IN & SKILL SETS
These are Victorian State accredited courses developed to address skills development associated with the introduction of the NDIS.
These courses are free for eligible students.

It Is Important To Note That If You Are Not Eligible For Government Funding, You May Still be able to Undertake A Course With All health training, Under A Full Fee Paying Basis.
*All Health Training is unable to accept students on international student visa’s as we are not a CRICOS accredited provider.
Fees
Course fees are determined based on an individual meeting the government funding eligibility criteria as outlined above.
