Positive Behaviour Support is an evidence-based approach used to understand the meaning behind behaviours of concern. Positive behaviour support aims to improve quality of life and reducing the severity of the challenging behaviours. Positive Behaviour Support is a comprehensive approach to assessment, planning and intervention that focuses on addressing the person’s needs, their environment and overall quality of life whilst keeping the person and community safe if the episode does escalate.
