The safety of children and young people in the organisations where they spend time is something that is often assumed and rarely questioned. However, recent inquiries in Australia have identified that children have been unsafe in institutional settings for generations.
In this session you will learn how to gain an understanding of the Australian child safety context and how to understand the indicators of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (Principles), along with learning how to build a child safe culture that promotes the empowerment of children and young people in your organization.
