This is a Victorian State accredited course developed to address skills development associated with the introduction of the NDIS.
This course reflects the skills and knowledge required to equip the existing disability support workforce with strategies to ensure that people with a disability take and use medication in accordance with the documented medication chart/treatment sheet developed by their medical practitioner.

This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding under the Skills First Program and may impact your access to further government subsidised training. AHT is proud to have a contract with the Victorian Govt., to deliver govt. subsidised training under the Skills First Program. If you are eligible, the govt. will contribute to the cost of your training.

Student Payments
If you are attending as part of a group via your employer – course fees are coordinated with your employer.
If you are attending a public workshop at AHT – course fees are an individual responsibility and will be paid in full on application.

Competency is assessed through a combination of practical application and demonstration of skills, research, analysis and completion of competency based workbooks.
Opportunity For Credit Transfers (CT)
If students have already successfully completed unit/s of competency which are included within the qualification AHT offers, credit may be granted.
Opportunity For Recognition Of Prior Learning (RPL)
Competencies gained through other formal study or experience may be acknowledged through a recognition process
Course Structure
The program is designed to include a combination of practical application and demonstration of skills, research, analysis and completion of competency based workbooks.
The nationally recognised unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings and enables the correct first aid response to a casualty.
This qualification is designed for individuals working in community, home, or residential care settings. They operate within a multi-disciplinary team, under supervision and delegation. Their primary role is to deliver personalised support to individuals who may need assistance due to factors such as aging, disability, or other reasons.
