What is a Patient Services Assistant (PSA)?

By completing a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance, this provides the career outcome to becoming a Patient Services Assistant (PSA).

The role of the PSA is primarily in a hospital setting and involves the performance of a wide range of tasks, including assisting with food services, cleaning, patient transport, general patient care and other related tasks.

Due to the different service needs of hospital wards and departments, the range and types of tasks may vary from area to area.
