Positions require caring, reliable and passionate staff to support individuals with daily activities while encouraging growth and support.

Successful staff will have or be willing to obtain:

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Criminal History Screening
  • Working with Children Check
  • Drivers licence and a willingness to drive agency vehicles while complying the agency policies. This may include van/buses and 4wds.
  • A minimum of Cert III Individual Support, or equivalent in disability support, aged care, community care and/or mental health support or a willingness to complete
  • Skills in providing quality personal care, or a commitment to upskill
  • Enthusiasm, availability & understanding of the Agency's 24/7 service delivery, which WILL include evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays
  • A individualised approach to service delivery regarding day to day tasks, including, but not limited to: mental health supports, goal setting, meal preparation, medication support, household tasks, gardening, physical and recreation activities and implementation and maintenance of plans and guidelines set by professionals.

It will be highly regarded if you can demonstrate:

  • Skills in case management and the following of plans for individuals with mental health issues or intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Working closely with families, advocates, professionals, volunteers and therapy staff
  • Commitment to undergo appropriate training
  • Shown initiative and compassion for the wider community
  • An ability to problem solve with individuals while supporting the team ethics
  • A positive attitude and an understanding of incident reporting, quality documentation, complaints handling, restrictive practices and a solid knowledge of the Human Services Quality Framework
  • Confidence in presenting written and verbal communication, including the use of web-based apps and programs and touch screen devices, including AAC.
